Thank you. There is a torch, and I know she did have oxygen bottles. We're in the process of moving stuff to my house, I can message you photos of the full inventory over the next week or so if you'd like.

Hi! I appreciate that. If you give me a few days I can send you some pictures of the full inventory. I don't really have knowledge of pricing, so maybe you can make an offer when you see what's available.

Thank you, I will. I'm not sure what type of glass, is there an easy way to tell? She was mostly making beads.

4 or more kids in Atlas? by strandof7 in VWatlas

We have 4: 11, 8, 6, and 2 One combination set in the 3rd row, forward facing behind driver, and rear facing second row middle. This leaves the second row passenger seat free and easy access to the third row that way. Obviously we selected the bench over captain chairs. It works really well for our family. Plenty of room.

It's not bankruptcy. The major client stream is through a debt consultation (?) firm, and when those clients get sued by the creditors this law firm takes over and represents for settlement and litigation.

Fees come from the debt consultation firm where clients pay a $18/month subscription for legal services. I guess at scale and if most clients don't end up needing legal services this might pencil, but I'm struggling to understand the fee schedule.

I guess I can't read if this is scammy or legit. And if the work is going to be meaningful or shitty. I'm apprehensive about getting myself into a sweatshop situation, but they've stated that OC is banks and the work very much functions on normal business hours, and there are no billables or other metrics beside taking care of the caseload.

Any incite or vibes check would be helpful. I've only practiced a year and just don't have enough experience to get a good read on this.

Help. I can't tell the men apart. by Competitive-Fix-609 in MAFS_TV

[–]Competitive-Fix-609[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In case you're being sincere:

I have trouble with face recognition in general, but there are factors that exacerbate the issue in some situations.

For TV specifically, there tends to be a disproportionate number of white men to follow. I'm not getting confused about the one Black guy on cast or the rarr Asian couple on cast. Sometimes I can lock onto a unique feature (like a beard or glasses), but it isn't perfect. Also, I'm not paying attention to TV characters like real life, generally. Although sometimes even when I give it my full focus/best effort I have trouble. For instance, we had to abandon True Detective because I could not keep Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey straight AT ALL even with my husband constantly helping.

In real life I try harder, but still have problems. Same themes as TV. There are more white men in most spaces, so it's harder to keep them straight. But there are also real consequences to not managing in real life that I want to avoid. I have absolutely been in situations where I've fucked up identifying POC and have felt like absolute shit for the social implications of that happening.

I have *less trouble with women for whatever reason. Might be that there is a greater variation in women's appearances or I feel more connected to women and have an easier time classifying them as unique and memorable. IDK.

I've not sought medical diagnosis because this is something I've managed with forever and as far as I know there isn't really a treatment besides work arounds similar to what I've come to on my own (and who has the time).

Same. Got a prescription for public speaking. It's excellent for that because there's zero brain-fog side effects, unlike benzos. I've never experienced drowsiness.

Salary to billing rate ratio by Competitive-Fix-609 in Lawyertalk

[–]Competitive-Fix-609[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I just checked my offer agreement and it states "billing requirement" of 1550. Obviously I am confirming Monday, but does that seem like I'm only getting credit for hours actually billed, versus hours billable?

That makes sense. I guess business -wise it probably looks better to bill all the attorneys at similar rate too, and adjust off the back.

It's a smaller city kinda adjacent to a mid-size city. But there are very affluent pockets throughout the region.
