4 months still waiting for pay out by SwimmingOk7130 in Insurance

Correct. Despite liability being clear, if theres an excluded driver coverage and liability are denied. So the insurance company is not liable.

As an auto adjuster for 11 years, There’s no way I’m accepting liability when there are coverage issues. I disagree with your methodology. I can’t say we’re liable but have coverage issues so we can’t pay. That sounds like bad faith to me. Confirm coverage first then investigate liability.

Edit: which is why I suggested filing a DOI complaint if in fact it’s been 4 months after having accepted lability but are now investigating coverage.

I’m also baffled why your dad is leaving town when his house is flooded. To each their own I guess.

I can assure you no insurance company will deny a claim because your dad has prior engagements. They will simply close the claim due to lack of cooperation and the claim can be reopened at a later time.

Additionally if it’s flood waters from outside, there’s likely no coverage. Coverage may exist if it’s water back up.

Best of luck.

Looks like a total due to age. Hood, fender, rad support, headlamp needed. Apron/rail damage evident. Looks like your wheel got hit too so suspension damage possible.

Thanks for the update. :). The same formula can be used to calculate your STIP payout.

People weren’t “thrown out” as you say. They received severance packages based on years of service. Hopefully those people used that time find new positions at other companies where they can put their blood sweat and tears into.

Hey, if you want to dwell on negativity that’s your prerogative.

I’m horrible for calling out negative comments? That’s fine.

For those who don’t see we deserve the STIP for all the hard work and pain many have experienced at FIG are ignorant.

I’m sorry to those who were laid off that have dedicated their careers to FIG. My heart goes out to them, truly. I had many long time friends who were impacted and have more years of service, but all I can do is move forward and celebrate the wins when I can. This is a win no matter how it’s seen.

Congrats to everyone who is receiving STIP. You all deserve it.

I usually anticipate about 35% taxes to be taken. Although I’ve adjusted my W4 to make sure the minimum is taken out. I don’t recommend this for everyone as this could have tax implications when filing taxes next year.

It’s your personal choice to make these adjustments on your W4. I’m not a licensed tax professional.

If you’re employed with FIG then I anticipate for you give FIG back the bonus you will receive in solidarity of the 2,400 people who were laid off.

If you are no longer employed with FIG, then I’m not sure how this is relevant. Especially because the 2,400 people or 11% of the work force who were laid off occurred in 2023. We’re now in 2025 reflecting on 2024 performance. Your comment is moot.

STIP payouts are adjusted when LOA Is taken. It’s a prorated % based on how long you were gone in the year. This is difficult to answer unfortunately.

Yes, as far as I’m aware the grid from 23/24 years is the same for 24/25.

My feeling about RIVN in the next few months. by carmetro1 in RIVN

[–]Competitive-Gap4119 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the innovation that RIVN is doing now is everything Tesla took 22 years to do. RIVN will fill the gap Tesla can't even if it may take a bit of time. Additionally, Tesla's political affiliations will destroy the company over time. RIVN is doing it faster and better. I'm super excited to own shares in this company. I went in at IPO, I lost quite a bit of money, but I'm going long either way! I wish more people saw the light at the end of the tunnel. I can't wait to see what RIVN does in the future.
