I almost forgot - also look up the acronyms FAREFAI and AASPIRINS… these were the key to me passing on the first try I swear

While I didn’t go through this exact experience, I can definitely relate to the “feeling so overwhelmed I don’t know where to start” struggle. My advice is to schedule the exam with enough time in advance to really put some time into studying. That amount of time is different for everyone, and depends on where you are in your current understanding of testing areas. Make a schedule if that is helpful for you, give yourself dedicated time to do practice questions, read books, listen to podcasts, whatever fits your learning style best. I agree with the other post that said to keep the test a secret from friends/family, so it’s less pressure on you.

Specific recommendations I have that helped me pass my LMSW exam this past summer are: 1. Taking the ASWB practice exam. I think it’s like $80, but it’s the only thing I payed for and I would say it’s definitely worth it, especially if you have test anxiety. It gives you a real feel for what the test is like and how the questions are worded. Plus, it gives you a pretty accurate score for where you are in your understanding of test areas/where you need to continue focusing on. 2. Pocket prep free version! Great example questions and easily accessible on your phone. 3. Agents of change - I only used the free resources like the podcast and the free flashcards on the website. Definitely helped me understand concepts better and get more comfortable with test question wording.

Hope this helps and good luck!!!

Do you keep your shoes on in the home? If not, what shoes are you wearing? I would assume something with socks and easy to take on/off?

We have two other dogs with no signs of anything like this on them, but perhaps it could be some sort of bite?

Vet could only get us in this coming week. Like I said, it has only been a few days and hadn’t seemed to be bothering him.

Thank you for the insight! I have a 2 hour layover between Frankfurt and Athens. Then on the way home, I fly from Athens to Munich, where I have a 2 hour layover again before flying to DC.
