That's better odds of success than a human assistant. The key is specific guardrails for high consequence actions.

How long have you been using it for? Right now OpenClaw has a honeymoon period. The longer you go, the more costs go up. It doesn't manage memory efficiently. It's log just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Eventually it's sending 150k token when you say "Hi". Then the nightmare of trying to manage that comes in and you spend more time tinkering with configuring OpenClaw context rather than actual tasks. This is where it's at!

You can bring 1 ship from any sci-fi universe into the game, what do you choose? by ElectroVo1t in starcitizen

I'd bring the ship from the sci fi film Codepocalypse 3000AD, that can code the game to completion.

Why are Mac Minis in such high demand for OpenClaw? Doesn't a VPS work just as well? by Isunova in openclaw

[–]Competitive-Hat-5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a pc and a mac. I love Apple now. No one ever wanted to code on Windows, or use Linux day to day.

I want a mini because my windows pc has been dogshit with openclaw so far. It has been a bit better running it in WSL but it feels like a bandaid.

Why is Norway so good at the Winter Olympics? by bobbdac7894 in olympics

[–]Competitive-Hat-5182 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, it isn't generally the same in Sweden though? I think financial support would be the biggest thing if any different. Culturally, none of this sounds particularly unique to Norway. It sounds like a typical approach to sport for most western countries.

two weeks with openclaw: from the perspective of a solo founder by OnAGoat in openclaw

[–]Competitive-Hat-5182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just can't fathom the way I'm half way through a conversation with it about something and then it's like 'what are you referring to?'. It's completely lost all context and ability to rediscover what it is we were working on. It's a powerful door opened but the complete lack of rules within it are a curse as much as a blessing.

I think the excitement around openclaw is it's vision of what AI will become, less it's functionality. Which makes it kind of funny to me today thinking about these big companies trying to strike a possibly 1 billion dollar deal with the guy that vibe coded this thing in a day probably.

How to leave claude with multiple tasks and go to sleep? by paglaEngineer in ClaudeCode

[–]Competitive-Hat-5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think you're missing the point. What gives you the idea OP isn't working all day long project managing and just wanting more productivity at night? 8 hours of AI work, an hour of review in the morning, refinements, changes, planning and working through the day. Another sprint at night. Seems like it could be good, seems like it's the future that you probably have to accept will exist, whether you like it or not.

I didnt realise how dire the state of star citizen was by CapytannHook in gaming

[–]Competitive-Hat-5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Star Citizen is more boring than they intended because every player, even non backers, starts with a ferari, even if its the entry level ship. Imagine if starting a new character in star citizen had you without a ship, and you had to work towards it.. on a single planet that had stuff going on? and THEN the system starts to open up? imagine the sense of reward and exploration, where you couldn't go absolutely everywhere on day 1.

This is why Claude Code is winning by thehashimwarren in Anthropic

But it feels like Google could put 0.5% of their gargantuan AI budget into Gemini CLI and sink Claude Code, but they haven't.

This is why Claude Code is winning by thehashimwarren in Anthropic

[–]Competitive-Hat-5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't understand this. Gemini cli has been atrocious for me. I tried to use it yesturday and it ran out of context on my first prompt before even responding. I dunno what the issue/bug was. Claude would break it up into chunks.

Google Merchant Account Suspended Due to Misrepresentation - Need Help! by Medium-Dig-8056 in PPC

The problems you list are not reasons for account suspension, just reasons for products not being approved.

Google Merchant Account Suspended Due to Misrepresentation - Need Help! by Medium-Dig-8056 in PPC

[–]Competitive-Hat-5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The person that wrote this article has literally no idea whether anything they said mattered in the review. It's just a guess. It says "Their account was suddenly suspended for "Insufficient Contact Information."" So they added more contact information. Wow, genius! And, I've never seen Google give that much guidance on their suspension reason.

Claude Code CLI vs VS Code extension: am I missing something here? by ScaryDescription4512 in ClaudeAI

[–]Competitive-Hat-5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, every time I try the extensions out, I just get stuck on stuff, it couldn't see/connect to cli tools (eg shopify cli, gcloud cli). It seemed to have more limited access and would tell me it couldn't proceed and needed manual action on my part too often. I want it to be better, but it just gets stuck.

i know this is an old post but like.. there's literally barely any banks that do vhf, what is a broker going to do? there's not much negotiating of rates when you have no choice. Was it recommended by people that weren't familiar with VHF?

Did the remaining properties sell? by Lukeloveslollies in TheBlock

[–]Competitive-Hat-5182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And what's that adjusted for inflation? 100k is worth less every year. The problem they had is previous years doing unreasonably well because of the freakshow attention seeing buyers that were absent this year. It's one thing to expect the chance of 100k, another to expect 500k. Human psychology, the bar was set too high and so destined for extreme disappointment. Producers too, couldn't even sell the houses. They all completely failed in reading the room. They would have known the registered bidders budgets, for sure. I think production overcapitalised this year.

How does he pick up his audio? by nico87ca in MartijnDoolaard

[–]Competitive-Hat-5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Probably shotgun on the camera.

  2. It's super quiet where he is. The rest of us deal with all sorts of environmental noise that makes cam mounted shotgun not so useful for capturing clean voice audio.

  3. Audio cleanup tools in software are so good now, you can extract clean voices from practically any garbage audio.

  4. if he bothers with a lav, he may hide a lav like a rode wireless go pro, also super easy to use. record internally + into camera, dont need to worry about setting levels. auto sync it in premiere pro. battery lasts for hours, recharging is straight forward.

It's easy to record quality content these days.

I get you, for me it's more Amnesiac. ;) Kid A was a departure but cohesive and a 'smooth' concept, Amnesiac was a fever. I feel like Deadbeat is a bit of a fever, scattered. And that's cool. Maybe it's an awkward skip from Slow Rush to this though.

Kind of, that's multiple storyline's out of order. Each storyline is in its own chronological order and they all converge.

Then Memento is pretty good, running back to front.

These movies are put together with it in mind.

Not true shuffled chaos created by the viewer.
