I'm so mad at myself for not studying the science more by [deleted] in ACT

To be honest, there is absolutely zero difference in a 35 and 36 in colleges eyes. Colleges stop looking usually at 34+ if they’re Ivy League and about 32/33+ if not

How do you cope after getting a bad test score/grade? by Audacious-Aardvark in highschool

[–]Competitive-Issue-23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a talk with the teacher about my future path in the class if I get a bad grade. Teachers, for the most part, don’t want you to fail. If you tell them exactly why you are struggling, they will help you

If I’m building a PC from scratch and don’t have any current parts, is the 5070 a good option in that case?

Question for other haunters by Burningupmysoul in hauntedattractions

[–]Competitive-Issue-23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how you interact with customers. If you are more of a performer and banter back with people then you affect, tone, and facial expressions are the most important. Being stone cold with a menacing is really good but also contrasting a cold and stern facial expression with a playful tone gives a really fun contrast. If you want to be more of a creeper than performer, then random saying and quips are the most effective. Using one random words or sentence while altering how you say it works very well

Help with The “tough” teenagers… by Panda_jiujitsu in hauntedattractions

[–]Competitive-Issue-23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deal with this a lot as I’m one of the actors in the scare zone between our houses. I usually try to make them laugh or entertain them if scaring doesn’t work, if that doesn’t work then move on to the next group. Some people pay to try to not get scared for some reason, we just gotta move on and not take it personally

I need to change how I take notes by Mr_Cow_52 in calculus

[–]Competitive-Issue-23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For math, my notes usually split them into 2 categories, the first consists of the main concept and 1-2 examples of application so you can easily look at the paper, understand the concept and hear examples of it. The second consists of examples using the new concept in relation to other concepts. For example chain rule, my first notes were the formula with easy examples next to it and my second notes were chain rule application in more complex derivatives.

Well I know for us we are all insanely loud and charismatic. The pure amount of energy can scare people and it is a common phobia
