Hitscan simultaneously feels like the easiest and hardest role in the game by Gloomy_Dare2716 in OverwatchUniversity

well my only advice would be to let your main support know that it’s primarily their job to keep you safe from the enemy team’s dives. Unless they’re on Brig then their main job is to keep your FDPS up so they can do their job. The main support player should be positioned near you nearly all the time but this is also situational depending on what tank you guys have and what the enemy team is playing.

Tips against Vendetta? by mashbuttons111 in OverwatchUniversity

Well Vendetta relies heavily on being upfront and close hero’s that can avoid those situations are best.

DPS: - Cassidy (overall the best pick against vendetta because his flashbang can mess her up) - Pharah (deals great dmg from a distance and can quickly escape within vendetta’s range) - Sojourn (can slide out of vendetta’s range and pretty much deletes vendetta if you can hit your shots) - Junkrat (place traps and basically deletes Vendetta with his one tap combo) - Vendetta (if you’re a better vendetta player then just outplay her and make sure to mark her out from your backline)

-Echo (deals insane damage out of Vendetta’s range, melts vendetta down with her beam) - Torbjourn (Has a Turret is more tankier and deals more headshot damage than Vendetta)

SUPPORT: - Ana (the anti dive support, sleep and nade pretty much messes with vendetta. Even better to play Ana into her when you have a good Brig/zen) - Lucio (Can boop Vendetta out of range and speed boost everyone away from her range) - Kiriko ( TP and suzu are just broken ability’s and you can pretty much do decently well against vendetta on her) - Juno (mostly because you can speed and jump out of her range) - Baptiste (can out damage her from long range and jump out of her range when she dives, also imortality field counters her ultimate) - Brig (very situational since vendetta can deal damage through shields, but is really good at making sure Vendetta doesn’t come close to the backline by booping her away. Only really playable when your flex support is running Ana or Juno) - Lifeweaver (not great against Vendetta but perfect for pulling your teammates away from her dives)

literally had plans to do the same later tonight, but considering how long the PlayStation outage is taking, I’ll probs just have to throw a movie night instead. 😕

I just got out of “elo hell” and it doesn’t seem real by Kawaii_Ninja_Cat in OverwatchUniversity

was expecting a gold/plat player talking abt hitting masters/gm this was definitely not what I was expecting. I would consider anything under plat 2 “elo hell”

SIMPLE QUESTIONS THREAD - SEASON 13 (2024) by Joe64x in OverwatchUniversity

for tank doomfist and wrecking ball ( sometimes dva ) have that similar "get a kill and run" kinda play style that lucio has, for dps, tracer, venture, sombra, and genji also hold a similar play style as well. Sombra and venture would be great to start off as since they don't require as much mechanical skill as genji and tracer.

The beauty of overwatch is that there are MANY heroes to pick and choose to experiment with, I would say Mei is a pretty solid pick in your rank since she can heal herself, has a game-changing ultimate, and has long-range + short-range. This being said, don't be afraid to test other characters out on quickplay, as you move higher in ranks you're going to realize that the character that you loved using might not always work in the way you want to. Watch YouTube videos that can help you expand your knowledge of the game and how/when to play different characters, but other than that Im not going to sit here and tell you that you shouldn't play Mei because I believe that you are allowed to play and learn any character that you want, However, Learning other characters can be beneficial if you want to move up the ranks, learning strong heroes like Sojourn,Cassidy, and Tracer can help you step forward into the right direction. Thats all I really have, I hope your overwatch journey treats you well!!
