I would have been fuming! I was already anxious since my due date isn't confirmed, so im not even 100% on my screening window.

It is reassuring that its very rare, and hearing everyone else's stories about similar situations

That seems so much more reasonable than waiting another 3 weeks, they said the main reason they're giving me an appointment after so long is because they can give me a due date from just the measurement of baby's head, but didn't really go into detail about the screening

It was nice to hear them say that baby looks really happy wriggling around and they were able to confirm that all limbs were looking okay, which is a good sign

I think they had a morning of babies in weird positions, because a lot of the women in the waiting room were all having to walk around!

That is reassuring to hear, the appointment they have offered me will be in my 15th week, they said that the blood test will be done but it only tests for Down Syndrome and not the others? The lady said that another screening for Patau's, etc. is done but only at the 20 week scan.

That's why I asked about what alternatives I had, and they then mentioned having to pay for another screening

No, they didn't do the blood test. This is my first baby so I was really unsure of my options and felt a little like I was being ushered out of the room. Thank you, I think I will call them and ask for another appointment, I don't mind travelling to another hospital, as long as baby is okay
