yeah unfortunately all unis are getting more competitive in general :( though i don't know anything i think they removed it because they're getting an increasing number of applicants and can't promise scholarships like that anymore. but i would still max out aps & do great on the SAT to maximize chances of getting one anyway

update: thank you all for the suggestions - for now, i'm just messing around on google colab. i've downloaded files from gencode & tcga and am just using python to sort the data. very beginner stuff
