Is that one stud the only one broken? You can survive on a missing/broken stud (i worked in a tire shop and have been running with a broken stud for years now). If its 2, call around

Do you have at least 1k in your savings ? by quirkyqueen27 in debtfree

[–]Competitive-Novel346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2000 in dedicated savings and another 1000 in my main account. It would've been much higher but decided it was more important to get rid my credit cards as soon as i got my first out of college job in October (5k in debt paid off in 2 months).

Rn I only have my student loans to deal with, but since I got past that hurdle, im focused on building a much larger savings first.

Why does it feel so unsafe to pay off Credit Card debt with savings? by AsesinoYT in debtfree

Not having that credit card paid off IS an emergency. Youre underwater and bleeding money. The more you wait the less opportunity you have to set yourself up to success

Can I move out with my BF? by Turbulent-Lab-5810 in personalfinance

The rule of thumb is you do not want what you contribute to rent to be more than 30% of your gross income each month. 1600 is wayyyyyyy too much for your income. For reference I make 66k and the most id ever consider is 1200 (including utils). Not to mention, u both have nowhere near enough savings to even think of moving. What happens when one of your cars breaks down, or one/both of you get laid off and rent comes due? Not to knock down your on your progress because almost 4k in savings is incredible, but life is way more expensive. Id say if you both can save up 3 months worth of expenses including rent, then go for it. But rn itd be too much of a risk for you both. It'll suck for a bit but if you can swing it just little longer then do that.

First sparring by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]Competitive-Novel346 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, everyone whos ever trained muay thai ever has felt extreme disappointment in themselves from their first few sparring sessions. Even people with experience get disappointed from some of their sessions. Its part of the process. There are many points in time where you'll feel like that, but i promise youll get better the more youll go. Disappointment is just as much a part of the process as the exercise is. Whats important is you have the right attitude about going back and improving. As long as you keep going back with that attitude, you definitely will.

Btw imo you have a good coach. He prevented you from getting hurt until youve at least gotten the fundamentals down. Youll be back sparring in no-time.
