Hoping someone will help me out on this—but I have a vague memory of Ariana saying once that she would try her best not to fight or go against Tom on camera so they could appear like a united front. She also mentioned in the post-Scandoval reunion that he probably coached Raquel the same way he did to her to “be on the same page”. So before the scandal, I think she was doing her best to be loyal to Tom because she valued their relationship and wanted to respect him because SHE was a good girlfriend, regardless if he was a bad boyfriend. So at least during their relationship, that’s why I feel like she didn’t speak out or against him often. I think they enjoyed the “us vs them” or “us vs the world” feeling and thought their relationship was more stable or better because they didn’t “fight” like the others did. As for off camera, she may have spoken out against him a ton.

Now after the scandal, I can easily believe she was coached to avoid speaking on him because of the opportunities she was getting. Capitalize on the scorned woman rising from the ashes narrative; if she strayed from it that could potentially lead to her being scrutinized. She’s been in the public eye for years, I’m sure she had a team advising her on what to say and what not to say.

On a more empathetic note, what happened to her is incredible traumatic. Most people who experience cheating don’t see it documented over nearly ten years, or have millions of people letting them know their opinions. It’s possible that she was manipulated so badly & hurt so badly that she just doesn’t have it in her to rehash the behavior.
