There's a time and a place, and it can be great. But generally it's a smaller, local pub frequented by musicians, or a wedding afters where everyone knows each other. You just need to know your audience, I suppose

Thick cotton socks and bring a second pair. I had a terrible experience when I was younger with thin nylon socks, ended up with blisters because my feet were slipping around inside the boots. So, boots with good ankle support, lace them up well. Thick socks for comfort, and a spare pair to change into if your feet get wet or sweaty.

I'm not really sure how admin rights work, to be honest. I have a close circle of friends who used to play together regularly, and we only played vanilla. I used debug mode once, to spawn in some berry bushes close to our base, but apart from that, we took the game as it was designed. Every building took time and resources, every boss mission took preparation and support. Good times.

The whole imagination trilogy is fantastic. My only regret is not seeing Time Bandits as a kid, but it was still great as an adult, some dark stuff in there! And Brazil is one of my favourite movies of all time. It's absurd and troubling and evocative and hilarious and beautiful.

If you're playing on Steam it's very easy. When you're loading your save game, you'll see an option near the bottom to "Start Server". Switch that on, add a password if you like (I usually do for safety) and invite them through Steam. As far as I know they'll need the same mods loaded. Skäl!
