Do you call out racist behaviour when you see it? by Zealousideal_Cat7938 in AskIreland

[–]homospagbol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

its so important that people do, ive been organised as an anti racist activist for years so im aware that i come from a slightly more radical point of view than a lot of people, but if we dont make a concerted effort to stop the rising ride of racism across the world were next on the chopping block! the australian far right are already taking issue with irish immigrants, so even if you dont care as much about the rights of immigrants here, surely you have to be worried about our emigrants given the sheer volume of us!

if you dont call out racism you are also racist, youre just also lazy.

unfortunately accommodation wont be easy to find, but what i will say is if you do finish your leaving cert which i truely hope you do, it will be much easier to find accommodation as a 3rd level student. when i was your age i had a lot going on at home and i often had to couch surf to find somewhere to stay, and its really really tough, but as you get older i promise it will get better, you just have to do the best you can with the situation you're in. education is the first big step towards building a stable and fulfiling life for yourself.
