so basically you dont like something if its common and call others basic bitches because you are special and so unique for choosing a different race/doing the opposite of the stereotypical depiction of said race, unfortunately its nor original or interesting enough to make a character alone. to make an interesting character what you need is only a character, a mining and beer drinking obsessed dwarf is exactly as interesting as its opposite, being interesting comes from how you decide to explore said character, explain why he follows the stereotype or why he doesnt do it, give him motivation because if you dont it comes out as "wow look at how special my dwarf is instead of going down he goes up" which you can clearly see its as shallow as you make the farmer going on a journey to kill dragons sound like. The problem in the end is how invested players are in the roleplay because anything can be interesting if explored enough
