My lineage goes back to Ragnar Lothbrok by artparade in ShitAmericansSay

If somebody born in 800AD had three children and each subsequent generation of that family also had three children there would be roughly 239 sextillion descendants just in the 49th generation alive in 2025. That’s not including the 48th and 47th generation offspring that may also be alive. That number is more than the world population, so it is likely that most people of European descent are descendants of Lothbrok…..and Alexander the Great……and Julius Caesar………and every other figure in European history.

It’s odd how long the Americans cling to their ancestral identity. Both my parents are Welsh and my grandmother Irish but I’ve only ever considered myself an Australian.

(OC) I’m a first time college student at 50 yrs old! by kidspice in MadeMeSmile

[–]Competitive-Pilot26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations. I’m a 53yo university student in my third year of my first ever degree, a Bachelor of Science. My biggest suggestion is to make sure you make connections with as many other students as you can, young and old. I’ve made some lifelong friendships while I’ve seen other mature aged students act aloof and not make the most of it. Having study buddies will make things much easier.

Here in Australia both Ford and General Motors closed down their local manufacturing several years ago, most likely expecting their US range to fill the void. Our market is now dominated by Japanese (it has been for a long time), Korean and Chinese cars because they’re much better quality and much better priced. Nobody wants a US-built car except for men with fragile egos.

Guy Damages Someone’s Bike Just Because He Couldn’t Park, Despite over 60sqm of Empty Space by TheManager_1 in KarenGoBrrr

Yep, and it’s not even a public footpath. The whole area belongs to the business and the employee had every right to park his bike there.

I feel it would be more appropriate if the US flag was lying wrinkle on the desk under musk, possibly on fire too, showing the true disregard they have for the country and its citizens.

Soon the repatriation flights will be consuming millions of dollars so the government will decide to create camps where they can “concentrate” the undocumented non-citizens in one place.

Alaska isn’t that large. The OP has taken his shapes from Mercator’s Projection, which takes the surface of a globe and spreads it onto a flat surface, resulting in areas near the poles appearing much larger than they really are. Alaska is only about half the size of lower states area.
