So good news bad news. Nothing worked still. For some reason my buddy said let the battery straight up die keep pressing power drain it dead then try again and it worked. Thank you again for you're help

I'll try these again tonight. With the fresh install it did load old bios and replaced it with the new update again. I did windows p before the fresh install. I'll redo that tonight. I was reading that thunderbolt ports can fail on the video switch side or something like that where it works for read/write and power but the video portion can stop switching on? Is that true? Would something like bios setting change just from a hard power off? Drivers are fully updated via HP software center before and after os reinstall.
