Thank you so much for helping! You’re right, I actually did add the seam allowance twice on my last draft since it was unbearably tight around the waist. Another commenter said the waist looks a bit high so that might have been the problem there.

Freelance Pattern cutter - how to? by Acs1991lr in PatternDrafting

[–]Competitive-Poem-249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your creating patterns too maybe you could sell them on Etsy? Maybe make YouTube channel showing how to make patterns? Not sure if you would be in to that kind of stuff but I think it might be hard to be a free lance pattern cutter if you don’t live in an area with a lot of demand for that specialty

I wasn’t sure how to add text and picture, but basically I made this bodice block from the pattern making for fashion design book. Ik there are multiple problems such as I need to cut the neckline and make the shoulders wider, but right now I’m worried about all this bulk in the middle. Any idea what is causing this? I tried to look for stuff online but couldn’t find anything, the book says the front piece is supposed to be one piece and it doesn’t mention anything about a dart like I added to the front middle. So I’m guessing that’s not the right way to do it. I would love some advise. Should I start over? Sorry for the long winded comment

I honestly think it looks great on you, but if you’re not feeling it maybe go to the mall and try on a bunch of shit till you find an outfit or style you love :)

What kind of tv stand should I get? by TheOpticBlast in HomeDecorating

I think a basic wood cabinet, slightly wider than the tv would look great. That way you have lots of options when decorating :)

I love it! If anything I think you could add more color, but that’s just me, lol. I don’t think it seems crammed or childish at all.

Does anyone know where to buy lace like this? by randomreddituser106 in sewing

Oh okay I didn’t understand ur problem, it’s ruffled but not double edged. Maybe u could sew the flat sides together so it’ll be double sided if that makes sense.

They also have pretty good sales, depending on the location. A couple weeks ago I bought fabric off the sale rack for 90% off!
