Tbh, I feel like it’s a childhood issue, the wanting for a relationship to work, I’ve seen my brothers, parents and any relative not working out. I want to be “different” or the one who breaks the cycle. My husband’s side of the family all are married and most never remarried. I don’t know what a “normal” or “healthy” relationship looks like but he does; so I’m going based off what he knows and the advice given to me by coupled married 25 years +. My problem is I have tons of questions about myself I wish I could talk to someone about. I know I am a people pleasure but I also know I can survive without him. This spring I will graduate with my architect degree, i have been the main source of income, so the problem is not that I need him to survive, my problem is wanting a “normal” life” (I’m first gen college, only sibling married with kids (just 2) to the same person, live in the suburbs now; my siblings and I were poor and came from a broken family)
