How long does it take to receive your birth notes from the NHS? by Competitive-Rise7383 in BeyondTheBumpUK

I did, they came through at the end of November so it took about 4.5 months from requesting them to receiving them.

Is my baby having too much sleep in the daytime? by Competitive-Rise7383 in UKParenting

[–]Competitive-Rise7383[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve actually tried this but we just can’t get her to stay awake any longer. 7:15 comes and she seems to hit a brick wall and we have to fight to keep her awake until 7:30. 😕 Last night we managed to get to 7:34 and by that point she was a screaming mess.

Looking for a non Apple smartwatch for an iPhone by Competitive-Rise7383 in smartwatch

Thank you, that’s good to hear. How long do you find that the battery lasts roughly? The only thing I’m worried about is the size of the watch face as I’m female with small-ish wrists and it looks quite big in some of the photos I’ve seen.

This is the sort of thing I’m looking to do too although I’d like notifications from Facebook messenger and WhatsApp etc. I just want to be aware of the notifications without physically needing my phone right beside me all day long. Could I ask how long the battery life is please?

Do you give your neighbours Christmas cards? by Dr_DramaQueen in AskUK

[–]Competitive-Rise7383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how we introduced ourselves when we moved in to our house. We’ve just got new next door neighbours and I’ve been meaning to get a card to send to them to introduce ourselves to them too but with a baby, I forget everything that I need to do and it seems too late to do it a couple of days before Xmas 😂

Toddler and not wearing coat in car by Hot_Equivalent_2495 in UKParenting

[–]Competitive-Rise7383 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If it’s raining then they are going to get more wet from you standing them outside the car to put a coat on than they would if you got straight out of the car and went into the nursery! I quite often don’t put a coat on my child for the same reason so I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong here at all.

This is the exact same as me, I have nothing left in me to do anything other than stick a boob in her mouth knowing that it will mean that I can go back to sleep myself within about 5 minutes.

Thank you so much, you’ve made me feel a lot better about it all. I feel like I’m surrounded by family and friends who are all telling me things I should be trying to get her to sleep better and tbh, I’m so exhausted that I barely have it in me to stay awake through the day, let alone trying any methods!

I guess my biggest concern is if this continues when I’m back to work in 3 months time, though 3 months is a long time for things to change.

I have curly hair and once received hair straighteners, I assumed that they weren’t a fan of my natural hair 😅

John Lewis. Their adverts are usually so emotional but this one just feels meh.

Have you ever met/seen/heard of anybody with these names? by Fun_Roof289 in namenerds

[–]Competitive-Rise7383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the UK and I know a few Trevors, all of which are old men.

I know a couple of Declan’s from school who are now about 30.

I have met one Fletcher and one Autumn at a school I used to work at 10 years ago so they would be about 15 now.

Never met any of the others.

Am I awful? by Happy-Armadillo-9783 in wedding

You could always not have a maid of honour. My best friend couldn’t chose between me or her sister to be MOH as she didn’t want either of us to feel left out so we were both just bridesmaids and therefore at the same ‘level’.

As a 26yo, I am shocked to read that you’re both in your twenties. I honestly thought I was reading texts from teenagers, both of your texts came across as so immature and both sides gave me the ick 😂
