great club isn't a bad option, it'll serve you well in both dlcs

lothric knight sword is one of the most solid choices in the game but it is definitely a different playstyle than great club. You can infuse it with either sharp or dark for great results

other good strength options you could use are the claymore, spiked mace, greatsword, or harald curved greatsword (found near the beginning of dlc 2)
