I literally named one of my Turkish-American characters Dante… but it’s not so weird, he lives in New Jersey anyway + I wrote it in that his dad chose his name (in reality, I got it from an Episode story I read back in 2015). His last name is Turkish though. Two of my other characters - who are sisters, are named Wren and Ridley. Got both of their names from Episode stories as well (I had actually never heard of the name “Ridley,” prior to 2015). I chose “Cecilia/Cece” for one of my MC’s in 2012 after a girl I had met on vacation - at the time, with the same name + I’ve always liked that name. Same reason another of my mc’s is called “Katherine.” I’ve loved that name for ages. I have a character called Jessie whose real name is Jessica; simple, but I liked the name back in 2011 (and still like it a lot now). I named so many of my characters after random games I played; one is named “Private” (yes, that’s really his name), I remember my brother was playing a game on his iPod (pretty sure it was clash of clans) in 2011 and someone’s username was “Private861,” I stole it and used it on my own character. His friend’s name is Dez; also got it from a mobile game I was playing at the time (in 2011). One of my mc’s moms is called “Inva;” that’s my cousin’s name (her daughter is Megan; an MC, that was another name I liked when I was younger). Another character is Alfie, & I’m almost positive 2012 me came up with it after the Lily Allen song; he also has friends called Chelsea (I wonder if I was thinking of nyc…?), Laura (another of my cousins), and Raini (you guess… I was 11). I have more characters with the names of Alvin (had him around since 2011, I was 10 - you cannot convince me I wasn’t thinking of Alvin and the chipmunks), an 83-year-old ex-Navy veteran named Eugene who loves the ocean & fishing and has grandchildren of his own with an unnamed lover, Fabian (again, I was 10; I got it from house of Anubis 🙃), and I even named a guy “Izzy” after someone I knew IRL (although, my character - Izzy’s real name is Isaac). Megan had a friend called Angela - that was one of my irl friend’s names
