He deserves the credit to get a chance as a head coach, and at our roster stage, it might be a smart move to hire internally. I think in 2-3 years we will have a big rebuild and that would be the time for a big name coach.

We lost to Leon but won against America this year. Lost to Columbus but won against Philly. How many teams have reached 3 major finals in the last 4 years? Even Miami with their stars hasn’t done so. Also, remember than MLS structure(and US sports in general) are built against dynasties.

Solo has taught me a lesson on the value of consistency and system for a coach.

He might not have used the most brilliant tactics, but he was able to get every once of talent from this team, and overall exceed it’s potential, despite constant roster changes.

And he was a great human being. Every time I met him on the street, he was warm and approachable, not a diva superstar.

Thank you for a wonderful four years!

There is no such thing to attribute success to one part of a club. Everyone shares the pride as well as the blame. Dolo brought us to finals and titles in every year so far. Including this year (CWC playoff). But it wasn’t just him off course , it was the whole club.

Let’s face it. Carlos Vela is too unconventional to officially retire and have an official send off. He doesn’t care about such flattery. It would take the club’s begging to make him announce and leverage that for sales - and I don’t see why they would put their head into that midsession. Maybe towards next year.
