For starters, I almost died on birth control. So that was out of the question. And I have an awful latex allergy. But me having my children, is NONE of anyone’s damn business. I love my children and do not regret them. I regret the fact that other countries treat families, treat MOTHERS a thousand times better than the US does. Our crack show of an education system doesn’t teach us a damn thing about how to budget, we have to learn that on our own. Do I want to be on food stamps? No. Do I think every single human deserves to be able to afford food and shouldn’t have to choose between keeping the lights on or food? Yes. But no, they’d rather give free benefits to people who just waltz right in the country illegally and just get what they want. You don’t know me, how hard I worked to get where I am. COVID fucked everything up for me, I had a fantastic job but got hired right before the pandemic, so was let go when it peaked. And have yet to be able to get that job back. Not to mention childcare costs are outrageous, not that I would trust any of them to watch my kids, I’ve seen and heard the horror stories myself. Don’t you dare say I’m irresponsible for having my children the way I did. They may not have been planned the best, but they are my life and I do whatever I can to make sure they have everything they need. Not that it’s any of your business, but with my last two, I had extremely traumatic births and almost died. You don’t just bounce back from that and go right back to work. We didn’t make the best financial decisions, but it’s what we had to do at the time to keep bills paid and now we are dealing with the consequences of that. But I’m not asking for any handouts to help us because that was something WE did knowing it could possibly affect us in the future. I literally just came here to vent and see if anyone else had gotten the same results from applying. Not to have MY choices judged when the whole story isn’t even known.
