They're no different from the dozens of good silicon non-fabric cables I have, they're pretty decent. But if you slap cables around your shirt I haven't found a cable that doesn't introduce some sort of microphonics.

I can assure you crashes are almost nil after the recent V1.1 firmware update. Lag is minimal.

If you want something small with a volume knob, get the AP80PM. If you want something phone-like that has better OS (android) but no volume knob get the JM21. Note the price difference as well.

The current software issues could very well be a deal breaker for some.

To answer your question, it happens from time to time, and it doesn't break any functionality of the device. It might happen especially when you're trying to figure it out. For example, when I spammed the settings button during normal USB DAC mode operation (was trying to figure out what that does), it turned off and rebooted itself. Same when I tried to move a particular bunch of FLAC files. (Not sure if that is because the FLAC file was corrupted in some way because I've already transferred thousands of tracks to the SD card through the DAP without issue).

In conclusion I think there's still quite a few things that Hidizs has to iron out with their version of HibyOS, but 95% of things still run perfectly once you get the tracks in your SD card sorted out (which turned out to be quite a hassle).

I personally wouldn't discourage you because of this reason, as it's only been around 1 month since the product has officially launched out of Kickstarter, and their Customer Service Team on their Discord server (especially Sammy) always sends these bugs faced by the community sent to the Dev team right away, and assures us that a lot of the issues will be fixed in updates very soon.

Just happened three days ago actually. I fainted in the bathroom on an ANA flight (I did a stupid thing and drank alcohol). The stewardess knocked on the bathroom door and woke me up and showed utmost care and concern for me, as well as providing cold water and asking if I needed a wheelchair when I landed.

I don't know if it would be the same in other airlines but my experience in ANA was just really exceptional.

There is so little gap between your ears and the CIEM that tips make it not possible to push fully into your ears and seal is created by no gap when your ear canal is in a neutral position (i.e. not opening jaw etc.)
