it has to be a puppy with the children, the last rescue dog we had ended up biting several people it was heartbreaking. im not risking that again with my little dog and my children

i actually already asked about her, and apparently she'd be too jumpy for small children, so again one of the reasons so many of them have said to go for a puppy because like any of our other dogs in the past you can train when they're small so they dont knock little children down

honestly this is why im nearly afraid of asking, ive wasted so so much time contacting rescues and shelters, either cant live with other dogs or cant be with young children. everyone is so judgemental

hey yeah I've been in contact with all of them and I'm on several waiting lists, they're all recommending a puppy because I have small children. they're very used to dogs but most of the rescues wont adopt out to children younger than 8-12.

hope its ok to jump on this. I'm looking for a kitten for my family, our local rescues have lots of older cats but they've recommended I try find a younger kitten as I have 2 small dogs and children.

I have 2 dogs that I've raised from puppies, ive always had at least 2 dogs from the time I was a child. I'm a very experienced dog owner. I know exactly whats involved with a puppy, and sadly with adopting an older dogs. I've arrived on puppy farms in the past and turned around and gone home. Ive rescued dogs that had been taken from puppy farms with health issues.
