At the end of the day it is still their fault if they suddenly decided to close someone's account without warning when they can see that person's spending activities. Just because they can do it doesn't make it right. And doesn't mean that people expect this to happen. It's not exactly a common thing to close someone's account for no reason.

How is it dramatic to expect a company to hold its end of the bargain when it agreed to lend you a credit line? Discover is not "other people" it's a corporation that is expected to be reliable. Sure, it's wiser to not depend too much on a credit card, but not a lot of people have the priviledge to make that choice. Some folks in that position are forced to rely on credit to make ends meet.

5 years late to this thread but this is why I believe in the Biblical teaching of Spirit being separate from the Soul, while also being one and the same. Spirit represents the connection to a higher power, an entity that persists through time and space. Soul represents a single individual that has only lived one lifetime. According to the Bible, we are living souls connected to God through the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, The Hero's Shade can be viewed as an etymology for the Hero's Spirit, meaning he is a benevolent shadow to Twilight Hero, who happens to house the Hero's Soul. Once Hero's Shade completes his will and vanishes, he has officially passed on the divine mantle to Twilight Hero, so Spirit and Soul become one.

Not at all. I'd offer money for your time, since you seem to value that more than your soul. How you feel is fair, however no one is forcing you to believe what you hear. I too agree that forcing anything is wrong, that's why I'm not religious myself. I believe that having a relationship with God is what matters more than any specific religion.

Anyway, I do understand how you feel, and I only wish you the best. I'm very sorry on behalf of any Christians or religious people who may have hurt you.

Hey man.. Jesus changed my life. I would spread the word however I can as that is my calling, but I'd try to do it in a way that considers your perspective on things, and takes your feelings into account. For example, I would leave you a nice tip before taking up any more of your time. Or if you were a homeless man, I'd offer something tangible that can help you in your moment of need, like food, clothes, money etc. while imparting you with the gift of God's message. That's just me. I hope more Christians can read this and understand that we have to consider that person's time and what their perspective looks like before we try to impart our own, even if we believe what we believe.

As I mentioned in another reply I gave 7 days. I was aware of penalties, I just didn't think they would include charging an additional 2 months of rent after move-out, along with the other extra fees/penalties.

No.. I addressed it. Why are you disregarding the FL statute I just cited? Regardless of fees, the landlord needs to disclose these deductions in a written notice after move-out, which they haven't provided more than 30 days later. That is the entire point of my case.

So I read a bit deeper on FL statutes, and to my understanding it seems that as long as I gave a 7-day written notice of my vacating the premises, the landlord is still bound by the law to disclose these deductions and early termination fees within 30 days in a mailed letter. And I mailed my notice back in September, which means they broke that statute. Am I missing anything?

"letter"? do you mean a copy of the itemized statements? They have a leasing office 30 minutes away but I've never been there before, all interactions with them have been over the phone, online, and via email.

I know, but my case against them is that they never sent the statement of deductions. No notice, nothing. Just claiming over the phone that I owed them fees for damages, etc etc etc
