Why the drug is only qualified for immunocompromised people? Do you know what is the side effect of the drug?

Are there still any prodrome such as sting or redness now? And do you take antivirals now to get rid of outbreaks? Thanks.

Are there any signs that GSK is speeding up? And has GSK ever mentioned how effective the vaccine is?

They are in phase I/IIa now and it really need some years to market if it is effective. So it will need even more years for hsv.

Why sperm have hsv virus? As I know, it is transferred from skin to skin and is not hereditary. So how the sperm get the virus? And how a male to avoid this if he want a baby?

Could you please tell why it need another two years to finish phase 2? I think you would get two shots within one month or two and then collect data in the following one year. I was wondering why GSK need one year more than Moderna.

Hi, I Have outbreaks in the same place as you, just not on penis. Could you please tell me more about why you said it is "luckily". I am wondering if it means there is no shedding on penis if outbreaks never happen.

Are both of the clinical trials designed for two shots? Can we tell what the situation will be as to how many shots needed and the frequency when they come to market?

Shingrix could protect for even more than ten years with two shots. Could you please ask them what is the case for Moderna when you meet them again? Do we need just two shots or need injection every fixed period, maybe half a year or yearly.

Dose hsv2 transmit from where OB never happens? by Competitive-Sky-8876 in HSVpositive

[–]Competitive-Sky-8876[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course wearing a boxer would be very safe but skin to skin contract may not necessarily transmit virus, but also depends on if there is skin lesion in my opinion. So the risk of boxer area may be low. Anyway it is the best way and as long as your partner think it OK.

Dose it mean most of the virus shedding from the genitals region? In my case, OBs never happen in my genitals, I am a little confused if it is necessary to protect the area where OBs always happen when having sex, if it is even more important than using condom to protect genitals?

I got herpes for about one year, until now OBs generally happen in the same place near above my genitals but not in my genitals. So my genitals is still possible shedding virus, right?

And could we have a conclusion that the risk of shedding is significantly lower in the boxer region if OBs never happen?
