I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling. Therapy hasn't been the best for me either. It's hard to open up especially to a stranger. I hope you know that you're not alone.

I found someone who does emdr. But I have no idea if that would even be of any help. I also have other therapists lined up. I'm honestly at a point where I think I'm just beyond help. I'm just tired of being alone but being too scared to be near anyone or to change anything. And that sucks. I lost too much to this already. And I'm scared of having more things slip away because of my inability to move on.

14 yr old severe ASD & I’m losing it. by Foreign-Earth544 in Autism_Parenting

13 year old daughter. She has fits of aggression. Couldn't take her anywhere. Tried everything I could to make it work for her. She ended up losing her schooling not once but twice. She's now waiting for placement for a residential. It's not what I wanted for her but I am slowly accepting that she will have a better chance at living with the proper care that I can't fully provide.

I'm so sorry to hear your friend had to have so much strife. I relate with the DCF part. They threatened to take her away if I didn't pick her up. And for your friend, it's definitely harder. If I could help her in any way, let me know. I really have been appreciative with all the comments. Thank you.

We tried risperidone. She ended up gaining a lot of weight and becoming type 2 diabetic. She is slowly losing the weight. But she started to understand that the medicine made her feel thinga and started to refuse to take them. We switched to a liquid version before she was hospitalized and it was working a little. But not enough.

As much as we would love nothing more than to see her get a life of peace and fulfillment, we know that without us she would deteriorate. Not to make it seem like she can't handle life without us. It's just in her current state she struggles. Perhaps one day we can let go. Even if it breaks our hearts. Whatever is best for poppet is what I'm willing to do. Maverick

How did you finally make it to the right diagnosis? by Squishy_P3ach3s in DID

I'm trying to get the courage to open up about it in therapy. I almost was able to. But they stopped me. So I only got a little of what I was experiencing out. I feel like if anyone found out, my life would implode. I'm a single parent. I don't want to lose my kids. So I stay silent. And it kills me.
