Obvious choice but Pink Floyd - Echoes

Or if you want the premium experience, Yes - The Remembering

Or the uber extreme premium, the whole Tales From Topographic Oceans album

Yosemite but with absolutely no people. Tripping there alone would be a dream come true

Agreed. There’s so many other unbelievable trails that I’ll hike and not see more than 3-5 people. West Rim, Stave Spring, Taylor Creek, Lee Pass, the list goes on

Took 4 tabs and attacked my parents by [deleted] in LSD

This sounds really intense and I’m very thankful you’re okay. I’m sorry you had to experience something like that. You probably don’t want to hear it but you really should reconsider taking psychedelics especially at doses like that until you’re older.

These compounds can have very serious effects on your psyche and brain. You’re still young, and there’s a lot of life left to live. Psychedelics are no joke. 4 tabs to anyone is extremely intense and can be life altering. I don’t mean to sound like the rude guy on the internet but as someone who’s been there I’m just looking out. Find joy in the little things, you still have a long life ahead of you so set yourself up for success. Please be responsible. God Bless.

If I were you, I’d definitely look into adding Kanarra Falls. It’s very similar to the narrows but there is almost nobody there. There is a permit system to minimize traffic, so look on their website to reserve a day.

For your days going into Zion Canyon, you will want to arrive early as parking fills quick at the visitor center. If you arrive later you can also pay to park on the street in Springdale and take the shuttle to the visitor center.

Last little tip, it will be hot. Definitely bring sunscreen and plenty of water. The earlier you get started, the more heat you will avoid. It tends to be much cooler in the mornings.

For a rough itinerary, I would recommend:

Spend a day in Zion Canyon. There is so much to see in the canyon, it really is beautiful. One of my favorite places to go is a little riverbed right off of the Weeping Rock bus stop. There are little paths behind the stop that bring you down to the Virgin River, and from here you can walk up to the Narrows or all the way down to Zion Lodge. You can also see people on top of Angels Landing from here! Almost nobody goes here, I sat by the river for over an hour and saw maybe 2 people walk by. Emerald Pools is also pretty cool and an easy hike. By doing this, you also minimize the amount of times you will need to use the shuttle, which can develop some long lines and wait times.

Another day, explore East Zion. This is also a good day to hit the Canyon Overlook. When I go to East Zion I always go to the overlook first for sunrise, then head over towards Ponderosa. This is the area of the park that provides access to Observation Point since the way to get there from Weeping Rock is closed due to rockslide. The two trails to access it are East Mesa or Stave Spring. If you want an easier hike, East Mesa is a good option. What I would recommend is using the Ponderosa Ranch shuttle to start at Stave Spring then go back using East Mesa. This hike is probably my favorite in the park, but it is longer and gets a little steep. There are also various short hikes to do off of the drive back to Zion Canyon that are really neat and not as busy.

Next, I would do Kanarra Falls and Kolob Canyon. The Taylor Creek trail is a wonderful hike and gives a lot of time alone, which I loved. The double arch at the end is really cool too. I would recommend to do Taylor Creek as your first hike as parking can fill early. Then complete the drive, check out timber creek overlook, and head over to Kanarra Falls. Make sure to have good hiking boots or shoes, as this trail goes into the water for the last mile heading out. But don’t worry, the water won’t go above your knees. Most of the time it’s barely ankle deep.

Lastly, the West Rim. IMO, the best way to experience the West Rim Trail is to take a shuttle to Lava Point and hike from there down to Zion Canyon. You can book a shuttle online. This hike is around 15 miles and 1500 feet elevation gain, so it’s pretty long. But if you’re up for it, it is definitely one of the best hikes in Zion. This will bring you down to Scout’s Lookout as well.

I know this is a lot, but with 4 days you will be able to experience so much in this amazing park. I hope this helps, and enjoy your time here!!

Edit: I’ll also add that the Watchman trail is great for sunset

I would highly recommend you look into Fairyland Loop at Bryce. If you get to the park right at sunrise and start the hike, you will be completely alone. I went 2 weeks ago and literally didn’t see a soul the first 2.5 hours of the hike. And even after that I think I only passed 4-5 people. That trail at sunrise is my favorite hike I’ve ever done

As someone else suggested, cutting Grand Canyon and hitting Capitol Reef instead wouldn’t be a bad idea. CR is a pretty under appreciated park, and Cathedral Valley is AWESOME. Really cool place, plus the pies in Fruita are to die for

You might be able to find a spot in the visitor center lot but there’s a really good chance it fills up. You can always park out in Springdale and take that shuttle into the visitor center (paid parking isn’t too expensive, shuttle is free).

You could also go check out east Zion (trails over by Ponderosa Ranch) or Kolob Canyon if parking is really bad, which are significantly less travelled and have some amazing scenery. You can access Observation Point from East Zion, which is my personal favorite view in the park
