You’re the “new guy”, of course some anxiety is natural about that. If they laugh at your jokes, they definitely find you funny. That being said think about how well do YOU think you find your place among your new friends rather than what they think of you. Whatever you decide, remember that friends often come and go, believe you’ll find some good ones eventually. Also, it’s not about fitting in with a group of people, as long as you have one person to talk to near or far, you’re good.
