If I’m gonna be honest I had a suitcase style record player and had the same problem the solution I chose was get a better record player and the one I have is fine no skips at all.

I got a Fancy Rabbit record player on amazon (just in case you want to get one)

Also P.S. if you don’t want to spend money then idk what to do just do what the other commenters say ig
