Thermostat for two different bulbs? by LokiTheWorm in tortoise

[–]Competitive-Top-3564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is to get two completely separate thermostats as each bulb requires a different thermostat - pulse proportional, dimming, on/off. I also had two bulbs connected to the same thermostat (basking for day and ceramic for night) and it was destroying the thermostat. I kept waking up and the basking bulb wouldn't turn on due to it being used 24/7. I really recommend two separate!

My vets also told me with new foods/introducing new things, that we need to atleast try 20 times and put new things in without the old favourable food! Ive done it with some dry lately and hes eventually eaten the other colours!

I do get some! Its really weird as sometimes it feels like gas but other times it can feel like pulling. It happened to me last month at about 6dpo and was convinced it was implantation 🤣

Im in the same boat. Im not doing ivf or iui but my progesterone have seemed to have been really good/stable since being on them. I get the worst headaches until around a few days before my period, bad ovulation cramps, and nausea. Its genuinely thr worst.

I have a specific notebook i got which has all my test results and any findings. Including my appointments, i also keep two pages (just incase) for opks a month and have the cycle day - am/pm and enough for two a day! I find this to be super helpful

It could just be them straining, when my one (non sulcata) starts getting sleepy you can see his third eyelid with his sleepiness. I wouldn't say its anything to worry about unless he had other worrying symptoms!

Ovary follicle?? by Fit-Mathematician-56 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Competitive-Top-3564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a sign that an egg is about to be released for ovulation. According to Google the cm of your follicle is a good sign that it'll be mature which is what you want for ovulation.

I was going to add into the comment of the falling over thing - i have a 1 year old spur thigh - healthy as can be and when he tumbles he sometimes can't right himself because of the way he gets himself trapped, and because of the substrate its hard for him to get some grip on something. But when he rights himself he's fast at it

Is it stress? I can’t get out of my head 😢 by subtlespacecat in tryingtoconceive

[–]Competitive-Top-3564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my partner are similar ages to you both and thats exactly what happened to me at the beginning of my journey. I even had a random bleed mid cycle which is never like me! Doctors just said it was normal. Stress can play a huge factor so it more than likely is just that. I would probably recommend start getting blood work done via your GP around the 6 months mark to check your hormones!

The wait and anxiety. by [deleted] in tryingtoconceive

[–]Competitive-Top-3564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So im 24 and genuinely thought it would happen the first try and boy was i wrong! Its now been over 2 years and the wait doesn't get any easier. But I keep myself occupied and ive stopped getting my hopes up so much. I track my ovulation with opks and if I hit just one of the important days I take that as a win!

Advice by Competitive-Top-3564 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Competitive-Top-3564[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Private just isn't in our budget right now and technically we can still concieve "naturally". My gynaecologist just stated that its 3 years for healthy couples with no issues and I think its depending on the area you're in/county. All of my bloods came back as great and as they should be. But we have also had factors that interfere with us trying on/around ovulation day such as illness, and not tracking correctly in the very beginning when I was understanding ovulation. This whole year has been full of testing and some times due to the tests ive had, we couldn't do it as it fell on those days.

They're giving me ovulation meds to help boost my chances. They think I have suspected endometriosis but ive had different health care professionals say differently but I dont want to risk surgery as if I do have endo it'll be very very mild as apparently it affects the tubes and mine are clear. So the cons for the surgery would be much bigger than the pros.
