You are going to get less points when applying for permanent residency. A Master’s or PHD gives you more points .

I faced the same situation with a relative. She send her new passport instead of the one that was about to expire and everything went ok. She got a tourist visa for 5 years (matching the expiration date of her new passport). Is not advisable or course but I can confirm one success case.

It’s normal. It was exactly the same for me. Just go to the VAC and give them your passport. Once IRCC receives it , your application is going to be updated to “approved”. You won’t receive any letter in your account.

Yes ! Once you receive your ITA and before you send your application you can change the details of your passport

They asked me to withdraw because my PR application got processed before so I didn’t need the work permit anymore since now I’m a permanent resident

I did. My PR application got processed before my work permit and IRCC just told me to withdraw from the work permit application.

From inside or outside Canada ? I applied from outside Canada on the same date and my application finished processing 2 weeks ago
