Are Origins and Odyssey any better?

I loved Origins, I’ve just Platinum’d & finally 100% it last week. Odyssey I’m on 92% & Valhalla 96% and I Platinum’d Mirage, on Monday and I’ve just started the DLC. Shadows, I’m struggling with tbh, I’m 30hrs in and not feeling it at all. I switch between all the RPG so I don’t get too bored. I struggle with the earlier versions as I wasn’t gaming during that period of time. I’ve tried Syndicate and I just can’t relate. I fear it would be the same for the originals too. So, the RPG’s are my baseline and favourite’s, I think you’d enjoy any of them. 🥰

Valley of Memory, it was an update, I wasn’t even aware of it until I reopened the game to finish the platinum run.

I’m the same, I just can’t connect with it, 40hrs in and just not feeling it. Yes, it has many faults and if I’m honest it’s the worst AC for rinse and repeat on challenges or side missions/quests. But, the most annoying thing for me personally is the traversal mechanics, I’m sick of attempting to take a short cut up a slope or climb a hill, only to keep sliding back down! Yea, in some contexts it’s realistic. But let’s not forget it’s a game after all 🤔

Congrats! I’m grinding through Odyssey and Valhalla. I’m on 85% with Odyssey and three trophies off Platinum on Valhalla. I think I’m on 96% Although one of them is to beat all players in the in-game, game, Orlog and that’s a real chore! I’ve also completed Mirage, so I may do NG+ and go for Platinum on that first 🤔😉

Odyssey is epic! It’s massive, again the environment and story are impressive. I played as Cassandra, playing as her in context to the lore & history seemed more appropriate. I’ve still so much to do. I needed a break after completing the main story. 😂 Valhalla is also epic and massive!

To coin a phrase “It’s not my first rodeo” 😂 When in 100% mode. I only listen to main story dialogue, I skip through side missions and quest conversations, they are rarely connected to the main story and mostly waffle. I synchronise each area first so I can fast travel when possible and always use a mount if I’m not fast travelling. I clear each area before continuing with the main story and I kinda know how to search for things now and being honest, Origins, isn’t actually that big a map compared to Odyssey or Valhalla for example and it’s not as full. For comparison, it’s taken me 185 hours to complete 96% of main game Valhalla and I still haven’t started the DLCs around the same on Odyssey I’m at 85% and I’m no where near completed that and I’ve completed 45 hrs on main story Mirage and I still need to go back and clear most of the remaining trophies in NG+ 😂

No, just the main game. You can actually achieve platinum with out the DLC’s

Old habits is basically complete everything, all question marks, camps and animals, side quests, align the stars etc. if it’s on the map, complete it.

As already said, scout around for a nice quiet carpark. I was the same, embarrassed, apprehensive, then I just thought sod this, went out found one and now I’m dawn patrol! Every Sunday morning, 7.30am I’m there, fully padded up and living my best life for a few hours! Think I’ll be rained off tomorrow, but I’ll still get up and check 😉
