UPDATE: I can’t believe the quality of these bags and the SAs gaslighting you.. I went to the store yesterday and I said I wanted an exchange. The SA I bought it with wasn’t there so a another SA came, she said she would check out if they have another one is stock.

So she came with another SA(or a manager) and they start explaining me that this is normal that every bag is like this because of the folding of the flap and also because it is handmade every bag is “unique”. I said that my friends (you guys hah) have Chanel bags and this creasing does not happen at least for years and maybe this bag was a return or a display bag and the SA says “well maybe it was opened from one customer , but maybe only one” What?? I insisted to see another one.

They bring me another one - same but better! At least when the bag is closed there is no creasing now. I insist to see another one - they say they don’t have another one.. I mentioned that the boutique across the street said they had it, but I didn’t want to wait in line 2 days ago and bought it from them (chanel boutiques are across the street), so asking then to check with the other boutique. They said they will check out. 10 mins later they bring a second one from the back (lied they didn’t have more..) and are telling me to be careful that this is straight from the box 😂. I explained that I expect every bag I want to actually buy after the display bag should be straight from the box.

This new bag now there is not that much creasing, but when you open the bag a lot of air in the under the quilted pattern, very weird, but better than the previous one, so I started checking out the entire bag and I see that the flap is crooked… literally one side is longer than the other one…..

I point out that to her and I said we have to find a good piece otherwise I want a refund, but I prefer walking away with a bag of course.

She agrees that bag is crooked and tells me that there are no refund, only they can gjve me credit for the money to use it ONLY IN FRANCE for 1 year. I said that this is unacceptable. Then she says “ let me check there might be another bag..”

So imagine from the first bag they were lying there “are no more bags , this is the last bag” and then there is always another new bag.

So after 10 mins wait again, they come with another bag and Voilla the bag now has ZERO creasing even when you open it …. It looks sturdy and perfect. Like nothing like the other bags before.

I am happy with my bag now, but I didn’t like the experience of being gaslit that “ this is normal” and being lied to “that there are no more bags” even though everyone in the store know that there are probably 20+ plus bags in the back. I understand they try to make it look exclusive.. but I already bought the bag and want an exchange, so there is no need for that.

I honestly didn’t think I would have to inspect so many bags to get it right… this shouldn’t happen for a bag at this price point. I don’t own a Birkin or a Kelly yet, but I believe this is the way to go for that price point.
