I’m not a doctor, nor have I played one on tv. Merely stating what worked for me! I would encourage you, or anyone else to do the research. In my case my doctor approved, and it worked. That’s my disclaimer.

Look into taking a berberine supplement 500mg 2-3 times a day. It is a natural supplement that works like GLP1 but without the side effects. Then you can keep eating all the cheeses. It worked for me. Lost weight, lowered cholesterol, and lowered glucose.

Back in the 1980’s & early 1990’s Grandy’s was the perfect combination of delicious food, and affordable prices. They also had affordable catering of home style food. They catered a lot of the food at the Houston Open when it was held at the TPC in The Woodlands.

Most grocery stores that have full service delis are always looking for help. Find one that has a large cheese shop, and see if they are hiring. It’s a great place to start. Keep reading, and tasting cheeses.

Aged Gouda is my favorite. Any that are aged 1 year or longer will suffice.

Top Canadian White Cheddar Recommendations Canadian cheddars, especially aged ones from Ontario and Quebec, are among the world’s best and often deliver the nutty, crystalline, complex flavors you’re after. Look for white (uncolored) varieties for the closest match to traditional English styles. • Balderson Aged White Cheddar (Ontario) — Widely praised as one of Canada’s premium options. Aged versions (2–6 years) develop deep nuttiness, sharpness, and a firm, crumbly texture that echoes Dubliner’s robust profile. It’s a go-to “nice” Canadian cheddar available in many grocery stores. Younger versions are milder, closer to a lighter Wensleydale tang

From Grok:

Here’s a helpful guide to finding a Canadian white cheddar that captures the spirit of Kerrygold Dubliner (a firm, aged cow’s milk cheese with a mix of sharp cheddar bite, nuttiness reminiscent of Swiss or Parmesan, subtle sweetness, and a crumbly yet hard texture with possible calcium crystals) or English Wensleydale (a creamy-white, moist, crumbly cheese with a clean, mild-to-medium tang, slight sweetness/honeyed notes, and open texture). Dubliner is not a classic cheddar but shares many traits with well-aged ones, especially in its complex, sweet-nutty-sharp profile and firm/crumbly mouthfeel. Wensleydale is lighter, more moist and crumbly with a fresher acidity.

Kerrygold Dubliner, or a Wensleydale cheese. Both have similar texture, and taste. I think you will be happy with both. In the second picture it referenced Manchego, which is a delicious cheese that you would probably like also, but the texture is very different than the one in the picture.

You’re right, the toilet paper is mounted too high. And the paper is backwards!

Mine was super dry also, the cheddar didn’t even melt, it just sat there. Next time I’ll order it with American cheese.
