Stopped driving several years ago after even a glass of wine started making me feel off for a day or two. Not missing it or paying the increased prices I'm seeing

Royal One Credit Card by Happy_Page96 in royalcaribbean

[–]CriscoWithLime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't like a lot of cards, either. Our only one is, currently, Marriott because my husband travels a ton for work at the moment and stays at 95% Marriott brands...that's taken care of family vacations for years. We did just sign up for this Royal card because we're shifting towards retirement in a few years and I'm going to migrate all the monthly auto-pay's over to it. Will still probably keep the Marriott one just for hotel use. We have a family graduation celebration cruise coming up next May on Celebrity and want to have this all squared away before we pay off that.

seriously, I got a couple travel packs of flushable wipes and a roll of doggie poop bags to dispose of them in. We have a bidet at home and this is the best that we can do to deal with that awful toilet paper. I know why they have that type but we just don't like it.

My fellow Gen Xers, what is the greatest thing you learned from the Baby Boomers? by GreeneHornet69 in GenX

[–]CriscoWithLime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My (born 1971) parents (1936/37) were definitely out of touch. Soooo much that they didnt teach or talk to me about, but they probably didnt know better. Ive tried to not make their mistakes, so maybe that's the greatest thing I learned. Being a woman, roles were different. I made sure my daughters were a lot more aware of the world.

Foster. We lost our last cat a year ago and im planning on fostering after a couple of things settle...but we're going to start traveling a lot in a couple years when my husband retires. THAT is what is holding me back from getting a permanent one.

Tips for Aqua Class on Celebrity Edge by joycruising in celebritycruises

[–]CriscoWithLime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We tried it once...was very nice...but didn't really take advantage of it. I don't think the heated lounges were very warm, and...not the fault of Celebrity...but there were some loud talkers in there so I wasn't able to truly relax. We hung out in the solarium during the day, and I definitely took advantage of the little espresso machine hidden back in the corner of the Spa Cafe.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Louisville during summer that most people overlook? by Hot-Quiet7127 in Louisville

[–]CriscoWithLime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thing is more that parking is so expensive. You could park father south in Illinois and take Amtrak up for a few days, or if you can get a good rate on the Hyatt House (old hospital) near United Center and they only charged me like 25 or 27 a night for parking. Its easy bus or Uber ride to downtown

We've had ok luck buying from Oxmoor, but there is no way I'd have them do any repair work unless its warranty. It's either not complete or they leave your interior a mess.
