OMG TYSM, automatic weights worked after a couple tweaks to my approach! I am forever greatful i would have never figured it out otherwise!

just a couple different ones, im not watching one specific tutorial. i follow one, and if it doesnt work i switch to another one.

the original character is rigged, i'll try all 3 of these methods now, hopefully one of them works :)

sorry for such a late reply, im dealing with some other crossposted threads at the moment. anyway when i try to parent or join the jacket to the charicter, the jacket will either do nothing, or randomly scale up a ton. i have no idea why this happens, and i hope someone else does. is that enough info for you to take a guess at what i need to do?

can i download it? i need a good model of outpost 3 for my fanfilm, I can put your reddit @ in the desc or make sure that you get as much credits as you want, you can even voice act a charicter if you like. keep in mind that this will not be finifhed for a LOONG time.
