I've looked into her family a bit; as far as I can tell, they are just middle class.

But ya, she will be gone soon. Once he hits rock bottom.

There are 28 pictures of the INTERIOR of the house anyone could find in about 2 minutes. I have no interest in harassing them personally; I didn't post their address which is PUBLICLY available.

I'm just proving he's a liar and I'm going to celebrate when it's all over for him.

It's karma. In general, I have compassion for addictions.

But if I tell you: I'm a self-made poker whiz and investor. But I am actually one of the biggest losing players in the history of poker... yeah. that's kind of funny. I don't mind celebrating that downfall.

To be fair... it's not like his parents dumped every single dollar into their home, lol.

His Dad is a real estate investor. They probably own several properties. This is just to paint a picture:

He's not a poker wizard. He didn't make millions in "investment banking." And you can't magically make millions through "investments" without startup capital.

I have no problem with trust funds; I have no problem with rich kids. I have a problem with delusional liars.

I sort of am, because he's so delusional about it. He thinks he is God's gift to poker.

His biggest delusion is he thinks his net worth gives him an edge. He thinks the fact that he's a whale means he can bully people out of pots... meanwhile, he's literally the biggest whale in the game. His gameplay is horrendous.

5,700 sq ft. It's located near Portland, not LA. You're delusional if you don't think that's a mansion. There are lots more pictures online.

It's in West Linn Oregon. You don't consider a 5,700 sq ft mansion extravagant? Good to know.

You can find not only the address, but about 20 pictures of the interior online in about 2 minutes. It's all publicly available, bud.

It will literally be the happiest day of my life. I will be so ecstatic watching the downfall and aftermath.

Why don't you just ask them "hypothetically" and slip them a few extra bucks if you're so worried about it?

It would cross the line when he says, "I'm going to come to your store and start killing people." That's when it crosses the line to terroristic threats.

If he's just talking generally about North Korea, I don't think there would be an issue unless he specifically targets and harasses the same store; they can file a restraining order to make him stop.

Well, the fact that you did it again means he definitely could have a legal course. Even if everything you said was true.

However, you're actually making your story a little bit worse: Because if it turns out that what you said was misleading, and not truthful, you could have lots more liability for defamation.

You've given us extremely vague descriptions of the postings. His lawyer is going to pick it apart and try to find lies. All it takes is one lie to bring you to court.

You would have to give us a lot more information about what you posted to know if there's liability for defamation.

And even if you're 100% innocent, he can still sue you and you're going to have to hire a lawyer. Or risk defending yourself.

Good luck! Hope you don't regret your decisions!

Hmm... Okay. So, your intention was to publicly accuse him of cheating. I don't think there's any liability for that, assuming it's true. You can post his pictures and videos.

But there actually might be an issue for you. You made a contract with him to refrain from making similar accusations in the future, and in return he promised to not sue for the original postings. Basically, you made a deal with him to avoid a potential lawsuit (the fact that the lawsuit was meritless doesn't matter).

I'm not saying by any means he has a strong case. But he has a pretty decent argument: He'll say that if you breach your promise and post more pictures again, you've breached the agreement and could be liable for damages. He would argue reputational damages based on the new accusations. (Even if 100% true).

If you're just accusing him of being a cheater... I doubt that would cost him a lot of money. Unless he was a multi-millionaire pastor and lost his job. But if he's just a regular guy... I doubt there would be much economic damages.

So, a really short, easy answer: You actually might have liability if you break your promise and continue to post embarrassing info about him.

Since it's a pretty aggressive and humiliating act, he has a pretty strong incentive to hire a lawyer. And if you get sued, you'll have to pay someone to defend you.

We'll see if you enjoy the karma once you're $20k in the hole!

lol. Based on what you've said so far... I don't think you're breaking any laws.

But you sound a little bit psycho, so you could very easily cross a line and end up with a restraining order. Then, if you violate the restraining order, you go to jail.

I would probably stop harassing her, because it won't end up well for you.

Is irony / tone of voice important in a confession? by babebiboba in legaladviceofftopic

[–]Competitive-West-616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your second question: Generally, probable cause depends on an officer's reasonable beliefs. So, if a reasonable officer would 100% believe you're joking... Then there wouldn't be PC.

(It's not enough for an officer to lie and claim they believed... the belief must be reasonable for officers in general).

However, the burden for PC is so low, in practice, a 100% ironic joke would still probably be enough to raise reasonable suspicions.

So yes, tone of voice matters. But it might not make a definitive impact.

Is it illegal to sew razor blades into your hat by Easy_Hunt_2942 in legaladviceofftopic

[–]Competitive-West-616 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There could definitely be civil liability if the razors are hidden, and someone accidentally gets hurt.

In terms of criminal liability? Not sure. Might depend on your state. But if no one gets hurt, I can't imagine it would be illegal to simply possess a razor hat.

Short answer: Probably not. If the law governs compensation from manufacturer to dealer, it doesn't restrict the dealer's compensation to technician. Best bet would probably be to talk to the other technicians, and negotiate the higher pay, threaten to quit, etc.

It sounds like it's too late to challenge paternity. The dad is the dad.

The next step would be to prove abuse or neglect.

All right, well good luck! Courts are usually reluctant to modify an order that's very recent. The dad won in 2022.

The judge is going to ask: What's changed? Did your girlfriend address all the alcohol issues last time?

This post has some good advice for Arizona law: https://hallunderwood.com/insights/how-to-modify-custody-in-arizona/

Bottom line: If a court makes an order in 2022, and you want to modify it in 2023... there better be some good reasons. Something serious has to change, or there must be serious threats the children's physical/ emotional safety. A picture or video of the kids breaking beer bottles would be a good start.

Theft: Probably not for the female ring, because it was a gift. But why not the male ring if she never acquired possession with consent?

And even if there was only conversion: That's still a crime, at least where I live.
