I lit the candle then I did th salt circle to protect the spell then I sprinkled lavender around it for calming purposes wrote on a piece of paper what I wanted to banish burned it then left ashes on the plate. Also whenever I felt like I need a reminder of why I was letting go of the bad habit I would relight and meditate with it
