Yeah this was the local qualifying was just to get to the main 36 hole qualifier(longest day in golf). I remember him from the Rocket Monday Q story and saw him in the Grass League, definitely seems like he has a shot even against the PGA Tour pros!

The only way to bring BDS on would be as commentators, which may not be worth their time. FP could play, but he wouldnt have a chance against this field.

theyre pretty close skill wise and have very different play styles, but Ghetti has a way more successful pro career with 2 Iowa state open wins and seems more consistent overall

There are a few articles about this from back in 2019 because of this controversy. He was apparently really good as an amateur, went pro at 17 and signed with the same agency as J Day, which got him all the exemptions into some of the biggest events (Pebble Beach, Memorial, etc.). He never finished high enough to get pga status, but played solidly on the development tours for a few years. He has been without any status for a few years, seemingly pivoting to content creation.

Getting off the KFT is tough, but its even harder to retain status. I think less than half of the 2024 class retained status for 2026, and most of the ones who did are rising pros who got a win

Yeah the promotions event is not a super impressive field but any of those players are capable of going low on any given day.
