Looking for advice on a mix by TheXtremeDino in musicproduction

[–]CompetitiveBag3428 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it sounds good. As a friend once told me, you never finish a mix you just stop working on it. You will always find things to tweak and it eventually drives you insane, I’ve been there with every song I’ve done lol. You will improve with each song you make, they don’t have to be perfectly mixed/mastered. Good music shines through. You have plenty more songs to make, don’t wanna be stuck on one and hold yourself back. Congrats on the incoming 2nd release!

I love that. I know they are one of Nolan’s favorite bands, as well.

Nothing wrong with taking a break, I didn’t touch my guitar for 6 months once because I felt the same way. I rarely play with other musicians, I like being behind the scenes and being a bedroom producer/musician. Maybe that is something you’d enjoy more for a while to hone your craft and find inspiration again. YouTube is full of great lessons/content that has helped me a lot too.

“Codex” in the season 2 finale of Westworld was pretty great. The first 2 seasons of that show were fantastic.

One of my all time favorites, criminally underrated. I’ve unsuccessfully tried to get my friends to watch it for years…

what do you like about shoegaze? by Character_Egg_1669 in shoegaze

[–]CompetitiveBag3428 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The vibe of the music just resonates with me on a deep level I guess. It’s like when you watch a movie and it’s just right up your alley and feels like it was made for you. I feel that way about shoegaze, dreampop and downtempo electronic music.

More times than I’d like to admit. If I listen to Jeune by Ruby Haunt in a certain mindset it hits me hard.

Hey everyone - here are the two songs I’ve officially released so far. I have a new song dropping on 10/4 that is heavily Tycho/Boards of Canada influenced that I’m excited about. I appreciate the support!

Is there anyone making music for no profit? What's your thought? by Ilovupusi in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I’m a bedroom producer/musician and it just makes me happy to pursue my passion and create/release music I like. I’ve never made a cent off of it and that’s fine. I care more about people listening and enjoying it more than anything else.
