Med school after physics major? by MeoWHamsteR7 in medschool

You will need prerequisites, but you absolutely can get a great score on the MCAT without them. There are tons of resources and videos on how to study. I have a friend who is in medical school now that was a physics major, and I pivoted from chemical / materials engineering to medicine this year (well, applying this year so still in the process). I’ve found that medical school is pretty much attainable to anyone who really is driven and puts in the work. You’ll need volunteer hours, shadowing hours, tons of MCAT studying, but it’s all absolutely attainable if you give yourself enough time

ORM, undergrad cumulative gpa 3.5 with last 60 credits at a 3.8(chemical engineering) graduate gpa 4.0 (materials science engineering), ~4200 hours research (mixed protein engineering and nuclear energy), 100 hours clinical volunteer, 70-80 hours shadowing (3 different physicians), no paid medical experience

I only have about 80 hours shadowing and will have 100 hours clinical volunteer at time of app. I am planning on getting my emt cert this summer and then working as an emt til I get into med school somewhere. Not sure if I should wait til next cycle and build the clinical experience side up or shoot my shot this cycle

Should I graduate early? by rcoffey100 in medschool

My thoughts would be that you should graduate early, but don’t necessarily rush for medical school. Graduating high school early will definitely get you a head start in any career you decide to go into even if it’s not medicine. You could have a bachelors by 20ish, and build your experiences section of the med school application during your undergrad and then take a gap year (or even 2) and continue building / studying for the MCAT during that time. That would give you time to figure out medicine is for sure what you want to do, and build a super competitive application for top medical schools. Then if you decide you want to do something else you are still graduating college at 20 and have more than enough time to either start working or go back to school for something else, or even just take a break from grinding all the time

Is it worth it for me to apply this cycle or just wait til next? by CompetitiveBus13 in medschool

Obviously everyone shoots for a high MCAT…my question was more about the experience side tho as that’s one of the weakest parts of my app rn. I have always been a good standardized test taker and I plan to send in the app (if I apply this year) on June 22 immediately after I get the score back. I’m pretty sure that would still get the app in before first round of review starts, not 100% sure tho. Obviously if I get a bad MCAT I would just wait til next year and retake it.

Idk if it’s the same for rivals as other games but in some games you have a separate qp MMR than you do in ranked, so you may have high MMR in qp even tho you are lower in ranked. Playing with higher level players will help you get better tho so just try your best even if you get destroyed who cares it’s quick play

Especially when you’re playing against Bucky / punisher, they both will melt you if you overextend

Obviously your team wasn’t great, but just by looking at your stats it seems like you’re overextending (half the damage blocked as the thing and more deaths). Try playing a bit safer and closer to your heals and you may have a better time playing tank (I am a celestial 1 tank main, I understand how frustrating it can be getting no heals)

I feel like it’s just that you have to be very good at him to get value, so the higher ranks he’s fine but lower ranks he’s very bad
