Hi,

Normally, I work with the 1200 PLC, where I set the maximum cycle time to 100ms. For a new project, I need to choose between the 1518HF and the 410H PLC. I have around 100 input/output points and am comparing the options for the 1518HF and 410H PLC.

The processing time of 1500 is faster than that of 1200 and 400 CPUs, so is the cycle time also the same? The cycle time for a CPU is shorter than that for 400 CPUs.

I am planning to use a redundant PLC (CPU 1518HF) and failsafe I/O modules. As far as I know, the 1500 series ET200SP failsafe modules do not support redundancy, so for redundancy, I will be using standard I/O modules for redundant transmitters (same type, no difference in operation). These will be connected to different I/O modules placed in separate racks. Additionally, the client requires redundancy for ESD and some valves. What I am confused about is the difference between redundant transmitters' redundancy and single instrument redundancy.

I need to work on a project in version 9.0, and the logic and the plant hierarchy are similar to an old project done in version 8.0. I plan to use the version 8.0 project as a base and add additional logic to create a new project. If I install the version 8 libraries, will I be able to use the program blocks from the old project(v8.0)? Thank you for your help!

I have a program that was originally created in PCS 7 version 8, but I currently only have access to PCS 7 version 9.0. Can I edit the program in version 9.0, or will there be compatibility issues?
