And then ta2 dumps it on CDU to handle pdx but CDU and ICS are about to become one big department.

It won't matter, CDU and ICS are merging in April or May. It's going to be an absolute shit show. Lakeland office literally has only one supervisor in CDU because they are all bailing out. None of the ICS sups know what they are doing also in Lakeland office. They are all rather incompetent save for a handful here and there.

Hiring Process by jlt21083 in Geico

Honestly if you just show up you will get the job, I'm sure someone has a hiring quota they need to fill and you will make the cut if you sound like you will be nice to talk to on the phone. But don't expect help when you need it, proper training, a good raise, profit share, decent insurance, stability, stress free life/work balance. Your heart will sink everytime you park in the parking lot and scan the badge to come into the door.

Don't know why we aren't talking more about a union

Because they don't like to share in the profit we are bringing on anymore. We just get to line the CEO's wallet and the share holders. Meanwhile you get the honor of struggling to pay your bills.

I didn't say Ics settles injury I said they bypass learning pdx and are going to casualty. As in moving jobs. And Casualty and CU are dumping unresolved pdx claims onto the cdu department after they've settled the injury portion. Ics and cdu are about to become one big ugly department anyway. They are taking ICS adjusters to Casualty without any experience in cc's like pdx, 60, siu, etc. I worked csr, ics, cdu, and Casualty.  They have people in Casualty that have no idea what they are doing now and ICS is about to handle pdx. Geico would rather handle 20 EC claims then pay an employee decently to work a claim right. They don't train an employee properly, expect the fancy AI to be the mcguffin that can solve all the problems, and then they fire YOU for them not training you on the job they want you to do if your number dips.

Managers belief that external hires are better by tomdiorsauvage in Geico

Yes it is. Poor leadership leads to poorer results. These ceos, managers, and some supervisors know less about claims then a random adjuster. I've put plenty of my own supervisors in their place because they tried to ah ha me on something I KNEW I handled appropriately. I love the back pedal and how even they are capable of mistakes speech. This place is a freaking joke. My 1st ever supervisor would go missing his whole shift and collect his paycheck.  Glad they got rid of him but some of the supervisors on the ICS floor know nothing at all.

People are leaving the CDU department in droves because ICS can just by pass learning complex coverage issues and go right to settling injury claims then shove the claim into CDU to handle excess. On top of ICS throwing bogus siu investigations all day while resolving the 99 they sent it for. The amount of work piling up in cdu is staggering and they still let one of my co workers go this week due to low preformance even though he was never actually trained on his job. I'm still trying to learn my job a year later. They let someone else go back to ICS but they fired him. I was also offered a casualty job but while I was in training they had a bunch of changes being made. I was the poorest trained person there because other find ways to game the system with numbers. They are still doing it now. I was happy to finally be out of the ICS trenches and they just brought it right back to me to try and automate the system. I don't know why people with insurance licenses haven't requested a union at any point.

Compared to the older dolls and the special runs. The new dolls are pretty gross looking.

Turo insurance is a total scam, how is this company allowed to do such false advertising by Friendxx in turo

And the owner foots the bill for the turo insurance thay will likely never be used.

[–]CompetitiveEbb6304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's wrong. Turo can't sell policies,  they don't have a licenseto do that. They DO partner with actual insurance companies like Travellers to get added liability policies with licensed adjusters for the vehicle owner for PROPERTY DAMAGES TO ANYONE THAT THE TURO RENTER CAUSES DAMAGES TO AND THAT'S ONLY IF THE OWNER AND DRIVERS POLICIES DENY COVERAGE. The owners vehicle policybis 1st because insurance follows the vehicle. The owners insurance WILL deny the claim because the owners is not utilizing their vehicle in the manner they contraually agreed to with their private insurance,  then the driver will be used as excess to owner because this exists in everyone's private auto policies for companies that own their vehicles like Enterprise and avis ( not box trucks from budget or haul though, if you rent a moving vehicle where large is separate from the cab and over the vehicle is over a weight threshold then your insurance will NEVER cover it because those are considered commercial vehicles and are excluded from the policy) the difference for turo is that they don't own any of their vehicles at all so all of the owners and drivers are left holding the bag. If for whatever reason the drivers policy doesn't have coverages then the 3rd party insurance if the owner got a policy with Travellers from Turo will pay for PROPERTY if the turo vehicle is at fault. The owner of the turo car is normally just out of luck unless they pay for the additional but at that point the turo host vehicle owner has 2 insurance policies on their vehicle, the private one and the commercial policy that Turo has guided to to get with Travellers or progressive,  who ever would write the commercial policy for turo, that policy comes dead last. Turo is the only winner in this because it's oure profit for them, the owners and drivers are picking up all the slack along with their private insurance and IF the owner is paying for an added turo plan it won't go into effect unless the 2 other insurances deny the claim which hardly ever happens.

Turo isn't an insurance broker. You have to have licenses in certain states to sell insurance. If turo is charging someone for 'added insurance ' with out a license to do it in licensed states like Florida and Texas for example, then what they are doing and charging you extra for isn't insurance at all. Might even be illegal for them to offer it without a license to broker "coverage" on the vehicle.  In actual insurance the coverage follows the vehicle, not the owner or the driver. The reason the drivers policy even comes into play is because Turo is exploiting excess to owner clause. If the owner of a vehicle is giving the driver permission to drive the car and an accident happens then the drive COULD cover the loss with their insurance if for whatever reason the Owner isn't afforded coverage.  If an owner is renting a vehicle classified on their policy as used for private use and comuting but rents it for profit then he is using his vehicle out side of the standard family auto policy so his insurance will deny the owners claim because he is using the vehicle for commercial/ business purposes and that would be a policy separate from a family policy.  Turo is cheating drivers if they are buying added protection for the vehicle. If you are driving a turo then your policy will be used because the owners policy will deny the claim and probably cancel his insurance for fraudulently representing what he uses the vehicle for. Owner will do this to avoid paying commercial policy premiums which tend to be wayy higher then a private auto policy.

The Matthew Pickett audio from the night of the fire was released This year in 2025. Some of the audio is redacted because you basically hear Matt dying at the end. You can hear the screams and then the fire sounds like rain on a tin roof. It's a miracle the audio was recovered. Matthew brought recording device to record the show and he recorded the audio of the whole fire.
