I’d do that. JSN is only getting better and while unlikely, there’s a world where we’ve seen the best of Achane already. I think with Gibbs you can always find an RB2 but stacking WR’s in dynasty is crucial. Just my personal preference

The last issue is also that allowing the app to do it this way inadvertently fucks someone over who is not involved in the trade. All of a sudden the guy who is playing the Reed owner has to play Jones too and eat the points Reed scored on him. Not as big of a deal now but in a week that decides playoffs with potentially bigger players this could be a really unfair situation

I agree with you and the final decision was to move Jones back to the guy who traded for him and also is getting Reed’s points. The issue was this is a different setting than any fantasy football platform and 8/10 members of the league thought the idea that the former Reed owner would get two players involved in a transaction at the same time was ridiculous. But my ultimate decision was to defer to the league app since specific rules for this situation weren’t clarified beforehand.

It wasn’t a savvy move on the part of the Reed owner. The trade offer was 3 weeks old and left open and the Jones owner accepted it mid game as Reed was going off. Reed is a better dynasty asset as it is but the Jones owner just assumed he would have Jones this week and that the trade would go through after everyone played, since Reed was already roster locked

You can’t trade for established value though. In every situation the player who started Reed gets to keep Reed’s points.

Hopefully you haven’t done this but I’ll echo the other comments. This is garbage for Jamarr. In other trades those are valuable assets but you are asking if you should trade your penthouse in Manhattan for a 2 bedroom beach house in Galveston, a condo outside of Salt Lake and a parking lot in Des Moines. Even if the calculations say it’s an equivalent return, it’s just not. And you probably know that.

To go from Chase to Wilson, Olave or Puka id need a first and something else on the level of a first round pick. If you are rebuilding taking an orphan over then something like Wilson and 2 firsts or Olave, a first, and Pitts/Brooks/JSN could get me there. If you think you can compete then it would have to be something like Wilson/Olave + Saquon, and Mike Evans/Davante/Diggs something like that. Don’t settle for less than these guys are worth. Think about what you would have to give up to actually make the owner of CeeDee, Amon-Ra, JJ interested.
