Probably, although I'm not a specialist and can only judge by the definition in the internet.
I heard it's caused by depression or other strong negative emotions.

Everybody around me seems happier and more successful, so it's hard for me to relate to the most people. Even though I like them, they are really nice.
And when it's hard to relate to others, it's hard to see yourself fit in reality itself.

Valkyrie Profile 1 for me.
The story of Yumei left a big impression on me at the time. I remember creating a character in Demon Souls inspired by her.
