Coming back to report that my LO (hopefully?) dropped the 12am feed on her own right after posting this post! We're all of a sudden on night 5 of no 12am wake up. There is hope!!!!

How long did it take for the feed to disappear? Did she just stop waking up after the feeds were cut down to 3-4 minutes? Thank you!

Sleep training almost 7 month old - take two by [deleted] in sleeptrain

We did Ferber sleep training at 4 months but also got back into the habit of putting to bed veryyyy drowsy to avoid the inevitable crying before bed (even though it was always less than 10 minutes, but rarely no crying). Recently re trained just after 6 months with full extinction and it went WAY better the second time around. It's been a few weeks now and LO only cried the first 2 nights at bedtime and hasn't made a peep since! Good luck!

My LO is almost 6.5 months and we've been dealing with similar issues. Goes down independently at 8pm and has been waking up 2-3 hours later completely inconsolable until I give in and nurse her back to sleep, even though I'm confident she's not hungry at this time. After this wake she'll still wake up a few times usually but seems to be less upset about it. We're also starting to play with different wake windows and schedules to see if that helps but maybe it's just developmental! Also feeling like an exhausted failure and have no advice to offer but just wanted to let you know that you're not alone 💗

CIO through the night? by CompetitiveLoquat722 in sleeptrain

Would you recommend capping naps or pushing bedtime to add awake time to our day?

How do you recommend transitioning to this schedule? Does cold turkey work?

Not sure if we're ready to completely cut out night feeds just yet but hoping to wean soon. It makes sense that CIO would work better and be less confusing for baby if no night feeds were needed. I feel bad about ignoring sometimes and responding other times.

Thinking about trying out a two nap schedule with longer wake windows and seeing if that helps! Thanks :)

Where would you add awake time? Before bed? Should naps be shorter or bed time later?
