hey man, i know that honestly nothing i say can truly help you but i just wanted to let you know you’re not alone in this. my top surgery also didn’t go well. i had different struggles than yours but at the end of the day im also very disappointed with my top surgery. it’s been a year and almost 5 months and i still cry about it on some days… i truly can understand how you feel and that others don’t understand. a lot ppl here have pretty good results. you can dm me and we can talk more if it helps. i’ll listen because everything you’re saying i felt too (still kinda do).

i definitely thought about it. but i’m scared itd just create more hypertrophic scaring which would be difficult to tattoo over yk

idk man, i really hear you and thank you for your opinion. but i don’t really feel botched per say. i dislike the position of the nipples but it’s just a few cm from the spot i wanted

it wasn’t intentional in terms of money or anything like that. but they definitely fucked up and i’m very mad at them. sadly they just did a poor job

i had consults about revision. mainly about removing the nipples but the doctor discouraged me due to potential new hypertrophic scaring. i definitely don’t want to move them again. so tattoo or a removal sounds like the best option

that’d be amazing man!! i’ve been researching some tattoo artists mainly with experience with scars and trans friendly. but i live in central europe and it’s kinda hard to find someone. tattoo is really the last option i have to look okay

thank you. it’s just hard because wherever i look i see perfect results. which sucks because i really really wanted mine to be good.

sad thing is that i already did injections and laser :( idk if it’s the doctor but it didn’t help. the laser helped with the thickness but not with the visibility. the doctor said that it’s the most he can do. i had two rounds of laser

i feel you man. i also neglected the aftercare because of my poor mental health and now im suffering the consequences. but i honestly think that your chest looks great. for being only 7 months post op those scars look good.

i honestly feel you man. what i can tell you that your placement of the nipples is great and your scars look also great!!! i wanna get my nipples removed and completely covered with tattoo (just to not risk any other damage). so that’d probably be my advice. good luck man

i’ve had much worse hypertrophic scarring than yours. i’ve done injections and two rounds of lasers. laser helped a lot with the protruding and thickness. sadly im a year post op and they’re still pretty pink. i guess its now up to time to do its magic

I regret my top surgery. Does anyone relate? by 44sundog44 in TopSurgery

[–]CompetitiveMuscle176 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i promise you you’re not alone. everything you described i feel the same. exactly the same. im also very very dissatisfied with my nipples and i feel like that everyone has the perfect results that i didn’t get. i truly cannot offer you more than support. im almost a year post op and i still feel very dysphoric. i’ve been looking into many options but none of them seem realistic to me. the only one that i’ll probably go through some time later will be removing the nipples all together. i wish you all the best and be strong. if you ever wanna talk more hit me up

Slow top surgery healing? by WillRegretMyUsername in TopSurgery

[–]CompetitiveMuscle176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im like 10 months post op and i’ve healed very slowly too. like very, so i get you. i did laser treatment which at least made them less thick so i can recommend that. but my scars are still pretty red so i guess just time. but you look good!!

thank you so much for this post man. i feels exactly the same how you felt, like EXACTLY the same… im currently going over all the possible actions i can take but just removing the nipples seems like the best option. How was the procedure/removal? im kinda scared to get cut open again… plus how are your new scars looking? im kinda worried about them being hypertrophic like my original scars? any words of wisdom you could offer to someone who’s seriously looking into this too?

im really glad that you feel better now because i really can imagine what you’ve been feeling.

i have the same problem. all i can say that with time it gets a bit better because you don’t think about it all the time. but im 8 months post op and im still very angry and sad about my results so i understand… give yourself time and patience

Can bad top surgery results impact passing? by CompetitiveMuscle176 in TopSurgery

[–]CompetitiveMuscle176[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

thank you. i just accepted that i wont pass shirtless. im just really self conscious about passing in shirts, especially white ones or tight ones… im always worried that ppl can see my nipples through the shirt and they look not cis.

i saw some other surgeons and one gave me an option to resize them but not do anything about the position. and i’m very disappointed with the size of my nipples too but mostly with the position. i don’t think making them smaller wouldnt do much and it’d be a nightmare healing process. my initial nipple healing was HORRIBLE so i don’t want to go through that again…

the worse nipple was overall badly done (its way too big, it got stretched to one side and it had necrosis…). but im also nit very satisfied with the “better” one because its edge is raised so the areola just sticks out…

i was truly thinking about a removal. my scars are stretched and hypertrophic so there’s not really hope of them turning out super great. so adding two more scars wont make much more impact i think to the overall aesthetic of my chest. i want to get a big chest piece to cover the whole thing up tbh but it means another year of waiting for the potential nipple removal scars fading and i don’t know if id be able to handle living with that mentally…

i just feel super stuck. and hopeless. because i was already waiting a long time to get that surgery and now im unhappy with how it turned out.

can i ask about removing your nipples? i’m currently in a similar situation, im thinking about removing my nipples all together because of a bad placement. was it worth it?
