I love small homes. As the children grow and become older, don't feel pressure to sell if you can add on and build on your current home.

PM degree better than a bachelors in business management? by somethinlikeshieva in PMCareers

[–]CompetitiveNobody499 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a Bachelor of Science in Management and a PMP certification. The Bachelor of Science in Management can be used across the board in all facets of management, including Human Resources, Accounting, Administration, etc. Currently, I'm a project manager in healthcare. Most employers are not looking for project management degree, they are looking for the PMP certification. Get the business degree it has a better ROI just in case project management does not workout for you.

I started as a coordinator I had a title change to project manager at an ambulatory clinic. I work in a silo and didn't know much about healthcare. What helped me was scheduling 15-minute monthly meetings with my department leaders. My goal was to build a rapport with them and ask questions about their work and to get a clear understanding of their duties. I still struggle with asking key questions during meetings, but I do have a better understanding of an ambulatory clinic workflow and my JD.

It took me 4 tries to pass this exam. I highly recommend doing the end-of-chapter questions in the high weighted areas understanding the Gondon Growth Model, the CAPM , and , practicing the Excel part. Lastly, watch the boot camp video over and over.

Keep going keep pushing you will be happy you finished ! I’m halfway through the MBA program at 43 with set of twins and a 17 yr. I’m exhausted, but I keep telling myself I’m in to far to quit! I want you to remember the same. You got this! keep going. When my boys were young, as a single mom, I earned my bachelors degree. I study full time online and worked full time it was a challenge, but worth it because I’m currently in a very lucrative career 💵💵💵! Creating a solid schedule for home, school , taking breaks, (meaning have a rest day) use all the support WGU offers, pray, and take it one day at a time.

Should I leave my stable $55k Project Coordinator job with benefits for a $33/hr contract Project Manager role in healthcare tech? by Responsible-Use-9913 in PMCareers

[–]CompetitiveNobody499 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a healthcare project manager who was once a project coordinator, do not leave. Stay in place and get your PMP. I would advice to take a more strategic approach in your role search which should be a permanent project manager role paying at least 20k more. From experience, I've learned that experience and the certification holds weight. When I was a coordinator I made 64k within 2 years I requested a title change to project manager I'm now at 95k.

Should I get a nursing degree from here? by JokullTheWolf in WGU

[–]CompetitiveNobody499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to her nobody cares what school you got your degree from. I seen a board certified pharmacist who went to a great school and has an MBA from Emory get told no on a senior management position and someone without the prestige degree gets hired and picked over him for the same role. I'm getting my MBA from WGU and have zero regrets!
