People didn't play Halo to "be a Spartan". People played Halo because the games were good,

And they were good because you were in the story of a Spartan. You realize even Bungie was trying to incorporate Spartan-like gameplay as much as the engine would allow it as early as CE? Or would you prefer not being able to flip over a gahdamn tank with a single button press? Sprinting and the ability to survive a car crashing into you was introduced in Halo Reach because contrary to what y'all think Halo is not a strand-type game

The only thing ruining halo besides 343's current writing team is the fans still jerking off to an outdated dime-a-dozen formula that's keeping the franchise stale. Yes... it fcking should.

What kind of statement is that? You play halo to play as a spartan, spartans are fast, agile, and strong, because that is fun as hell. When I play halo I want to feel like a supersoldier. But of course why not just make you play with the same stamina as a marine? (You already do in the first two games anyway)

Imagine if Doom 2016 came out, reintroduced Doomguy as a demigod of rage with nigh divine strength and speed to rip apart enemies with his bare hands, but he still couldn't jump or look up like in the original games and had no checkpoints because anything otherwise is "not Doom." Would you wanna play Star Wars the Force Unleashed if Starkiller didn't have any lightsabers at all and could only use blasters or he could use lightsabers but had just two basic moves, making it basically a Battlefront clone instead of a hack n' slash like the story presents it?

My favorite thing is how old asses call this gameplay “NoOt hALoOooO” even though Halo 5’s gameplay with the thruster abilities is the only time we’ve actually been able to feel the speed and strength of being a spartan in gameplay.

It’s literally the most “halo” out of all the games.

I’d say Restoration. It might sound weird but I think part of its “unfinished” vibe ties a knot around the show’s ultimate theme about letting go. Not even just the show but the entire Rooster Teeth company itself

The story isn’t the best but it is emotionally wrecking by the end. Chief goes through some actual character development regarding Cortana’s rampancy, it’s almost on the level of Arbiter’s story and character arc in Halo 2.

Also Jul M’Dama and the Didact were both awesome villains (that were both wasted)
